Description
The Training Institute (TI) of the National Development and Research Institutes, Inc. has created an advisory board, The Advisory Dialog Project, ADP, composed of members selected for their expertise in working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals, friends, families and communities. This advisory board has two major aims to carry out the mission of the LGBT- Health Aware Project (HAP).
Aim 1:
Raise LGBT health awareness by promoting dialog among service providers and organizational leaders.
Aim 2:
Enhance provider capacities and promote the refinement and building of effective LGBT services.
Responsibilities of ADP Board Members
- Attend 3 annual board meetings
- Attend 1 full-day board retreat
- Provide feedback on training and technical assistance materials/interventions
- Develop a promotional/educational brochure
- Assist with the planning of a year-end (May 09) providers conference
- Act as a promotional agent for LGBT-HAP project
